Score another for Vanek

MONTREAL -- Just got the word from the Sabres while sitting in Pierre Trudeau Airport that the NHL made a scoring change overnight and has amended Thomas Vanek's goal total from 17 to 18. Vanek has been awarded Buffalo's third goal at 3:11 of the third period Friday against Pittsburgh.

It was originally awarded to Drew Stafford via a Vanek pass but the ruling was that the puck went in off Penguins defenseman Kris Letang (58). Here's the play but it's virtually impossible to tell without a slow-motion replay. Try the full-screen option on the bottom right for a little better look.
